There is a HP2 shop stand for sale on eBay right now. I already have one for my bike or I would have bought it already. This is rare as it gets. I have no affiliation just want to alert HP2 people.

Thanks so much - I have only seen one picture of one being used. This will be a huge help working on the bike.

I will look in to it tonight.

Congrats on snagging that!

Um .... what is it?

Post a pic when you get it. I'm curious about this mythical beast.

I used to have a paddock stand that went through the rear axle hole. I never used it and sold it. When I do service, I just put the bike on a Craftsman bike lift and jack it up.

The HP2E shop stand or service stand is a mythical creature that for many years only existed in the minds of BMW mechanics and aficionados. It is pictured in your HP2 Enduro manual on pages 83 and 84, but despite several exhaustive searches for years none were ever seen. it is said to be entirely black with two long curved legs and two menacing horns protruding from its' upper torso. Although scary in appearance, some say that it is actually a helpful little troll.

There are reports of two or three of them existing so this might be the rarest HP2E accessory ever - or it might not......

joking - it is a removable center stand to work on your bike. apparently BMW was going to make one that came apart and could easily be stored on the bike to work on it in the field.

If it is easy and cheap to reproduce, I will try to get some made and sell them at cost if there is any interest.

From what I understand it was meant to be a BMW mechanics tool.

So, will it fit if you have crash bars installed?

I had the same thought, but I am almost sure that you will have to remove the crash bars in order to fit it... Too much work

That is a great find well done.

I purchased one of these

About 6 months ago and it works extremely well also. You do have to remove the bash plate every time you use it though.

Well done. I'd be interested in one if you decide to get any made.
