Rear shock nut and bolt - Tool size

I would like to know the size of the open ended wrench to remove the bottom rear nut (the big one that holds the shock in place). Is it a 15mm open wrench?
 
What about the Torx size for the bolt?
 
 
Also, once I remove the old shock, do I need to place a new nut on the top?
FYI, in the R1200GS you need, becuause it uses an oval nut, so these need to be replaced each time.
So not sure on the HP2... Also on the HP2 the top and bottom nut seem to be the same part number.

18 mm nut, T55 bolt. Torque to 66 Nm. Top and bottom are indeed identical.

I've never reused the nut, and I've never noticed it back off.

Thanks Jake. I just confirmed that today. Right on spot
I will change the Conti with an Ohlins Thursday night, so I was trying to get all my tools ready. And good I checked, because I was missing an 18mm open wrench.

The way it is on my bike an 18mm tube socket will not fit. So the open wrench will do the job.

Both nuts (top and bottom) face the right side of the bike. On the top, the right side has less clearance for a socket tube to fit.

I also ordered new nuts (and even bolts). I also like to always change them whenever I work on the bike...

Ah, realized I mistyped. I *have* reused the nuts and have never notice them back off. But still, better to be safe.

Summary for the rear shock:
 
Bolt part number on top and bottom nut are the same. They are "Nylock" nuts. Need to be replaced each time.
 
The wrench is 18mm. For the top nut it can be an open or closed wrench. For the bottom it must be an open wrench.
 
A 18mm socket will not fit due to the lack of space.
 
The bolt needs a T-55 (torx) bit.
 
Torque is 66Nm.
 
 
I took my Conti out and put an Ohlins. Removing the exhaust was super easy and made the job much easier. Overall it took me 30mins to do it all.
