I respectfully decline your offer for $10K. I simply have too many bikes and not enough room.

Please do not confuse "motivated" with "desperate". The options alone on this bike exceed your offer Detlef Herrmann. There is wiggle room for Fair Offers!

The import isn't that tough. In Colorado you basically need a letter from BMW saying it meets US emissions which it does because all North American bikes met both Canada and US regs. You present that to US Customs along with some tax (not huge) and they issue a certificate for import and for the state. That certificate, title and the bill of sale will get it registered.

As a seller, I would recommend getting in touch with a BMW dealer to get a copy of the emissions compliance letter just to have it handy for a buyer and also maybe check around for an export agent in your area to refer a US buyer to. Dealers will usually know of some.

The tough part is figuring out how to own/sell it while going through all of that and without risk of loss to either party. That's where an import export agent can be helpful.

For $300 +/- you can find an import/export agent that will do that for you. Or so I was told when I was looking at another HP2 in Vancouver a while back that was going for $16.5k. I've never actually done an import but was a well into the process when another Canuk bought the bike. by Tabasco

My othert bike I had imported was a Husqvarna (while BMW owned them). And the only additional item of note is the "Recall Clearance Letter" which I also have a copy of with this bike. Thanks Tabasco for adding clarity for everyone! by EIGuy

Hi EIGuy,
How many liters/gal in the under seat tank?
Do you have an electric pump transfering fuel from under seat tank to standard tank?
Thanks.
